Symptom: When using the
DOS mirroring utility Dupli.exe, you can
get a very long copy time on the order of
several hundred hours.
Cause: This is caused by
an internal error in Dupli.exe calculating
the wrong drive size.
Corrective Action: You
can fix this immediately by stopping the
copy process, turning the power on the PC
to off and restarting the Dupli.exe copy
process. You will find that the copy time
displayed is approximately 10 gigabytes
per 30-minute interval. This would mean
that a 30-gigabyte drive would take approximately
1.5 hours.
NOTES:
The new Dupli.exe version, available on
our download
page, fixes the problem without power
down.
